Hana 100 Days | Denver Baby Photographer
A huge milestone in Korean culture is a baby's 100th day after birth. Back in the day, many babies did not survive the first few months, so Koreans celebrated when everyone made it through the difficult period. Red bean rice cakes and food are offered to a god named Samshin for "protecting" the mother and baby. Today, Koreans continue to celebrate a baby's 100th day with rice cakes (and western cakes too!).
I loved having the opportunity to photograph Hana and her family on her 100th day! The cultural traditions are always so very special. Thanks to this family for letting me document Hana's first big milestone!
